As we approach the wonderful and magical season of gift giving, I
cannot help but reflect on the wonderful gifts I have been the recipient
of! Some of my favorites include: A Casio keyboard that played Rick
Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" when you pushed the demo button. A
rock n' roll Barbie and all her bandmates, "The Rockers," complete with
plastic guitars and a cassette tape of their music! Hey, I am a
product of the '80s!
I am certain all of us have
received some fantastic gifts from our loved ones over the years. This
year, why not treat yourself to a gift from The Wood Connection! Like

ReplyDeleteMy favorite gifts are always practical home items I don't really want to buy myself, like fancier mops and other items that would make my like easier, but I'm too cheap to buy.
ReplyDeleteA handmade piggy bank my brother made me when I was ten. I still have it. :)
ReplyDeleteMy best Christmas book was a memory book of my grandma.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas gift was the year I got a pair of overalls from the Gap in 8th grade. I seriously wore them a couple times each week. I thought they looked so good. :)
ReplyDeleteThe iPod my dad got me a few years ago. He is no longer living but I think of him and smile every time I use it.

ReplyDeleteA couple years ago, my husband gave me quilting supplies. It was totally unexpected and showed me how well he knew me.
DeleteOur tradition growing up was that no one was allowed into the living room where the Christmas stuff was before we were all dressed and had had a family picture...so waiting for everyone to get ready was pure torture! At the same time, it was a treat too because there was a candy dish full of candy to sit and eat while we waited! I was a big time Barbie collector, so every year when I got something new for my Barbie I loved it! I still love that plastic-y Barbie toy smell that in my mind accompanies Christmas!
